Position Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Mobility Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of our high-end open-world simulation. As a key member, you will play a vital role in shaping our mobility simulation infrastructure, ensuring scalability, reliability, and efficiency in collaboration with our cloud platform.

Experience:

1. Proficient programming skills, with a focus on Java, in mobility simulation development.
2. Strong background with simulation solutions (e.g. MATSim), showcasing expertise in customizing and implementing mobility simulations.
3. Apply data processing knowledge to prepare populations from census and statistical data, incorporating scripting languages such as Python for efficient data pipeline management.
4. Collaborate with a diverse team, including individuals with strong transport planning backgrounds, to understand client needs and provide targeted data solutions.
5. Customise and implement complex analyses within mobility simulation tools, ensuring advanced use cases for clients.
6. Leverage data science skills to combine various datasets, creating representative populations and extracting key performance indices from extensive simulation outputs.
7. Experience collaborating in a multidisciplinary team, including individuals with transport planning backgrounds.
8. Proven ability to customize and implement complex analyses within mobility simulation tools.
9. Strong data processing knowledge, capable of preparing populations from census and statistical data.

Nice to Haves:

• Leadership experience or a demonstrated ability to lead and mentor team members in a collaborative environment.
• Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms in deploying and managing mobility simulations.
• Knowledge of traffic simulation and urban planning simulation, contributing to comprehensive and realistic mobility models.
