We are seeking a Simulation Engineer to join our dynamic Virtual Prototyping team. As a Simulation Engineer in our Virtual Prototyping team, you will develop realistic, simulator‑based scenarios that replicate real‑world operations for our key customers, tailored to project requirements. The ideal candidate will be skilled in creating customer‑specific operational scenarios using our in‑house simulation software to support planning, training, and decision‑making.

Responsibilities:

• Communicate effectively with project managers to understand customer requirements and deliver tailored solutions.

• Develop end‑to‑end virtual prototypes, including simulation scene logic, interaction flows, and system integrations aligned with customer operations.

• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to identify and resolve real‑time simulation challenges.

• Conduct targeted testing and validation of simulation scenes, supporting customer demonstrations, acceptance activities, and technical reviews by clearly explaining simulation behaviour and underlying assumptions.

• Document test procedures, results, and model limitations to ensure transparency for internal teams and customers.

• Participate in agile development processes, contributing to sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, estimates, and retrospectives.

• Bachelor / Master's Degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.

• Strong technical competence with the ability for independent analysis and problem-solving of complex challenges.

• Interest in simulation, virtual prototyping, and 3D technology.

• Good collaboration skills combined with the ability to be proactive and take personal responsibility.

• Relevant experience with software development programming.

• Experience with version control (Git) and modern development tools 

• Understanding of physics and mathematics related to simulation and 3D graphics 

• Experience using 3D tools and the ability to work in 3D environments (e.g., Unity, Blender, 3DS Max)

• Experience from maritime, offshore, industrial, or technical operational environments 

• Familiarity with training or simulation systems
